Sketching on Saturday
Yesterday afternoon I played hookey from hacking on Krita's brush engine and settings management code and grabbed pen, ink, pencil and paper and did some analog sketching. I feel I'm slowly getting back a little certainty of purpose in my lines; sketching really is something one should do every day, like coding. Behind the fold, also because there is some full dorsal nudity.
Also, full marks for whom recognizes the original works I used for these studies. I did two with a pencil, and two with directly with pen and ink without sketches. Three sketches were made after sketches by famous artists, the dancer from a picture of a Kushan temple statue. (Nobody in real life has that thin a waist!) I do have a professional model about the house, but I feel I need some more training to actually dare to make use of her again :-).
