Introduction
That website was built with Zope, a very cool Python based CRM. However, Zope stores all its content in a nasty big database, and besides, the Slashdot inspired Squishdot software I based Bookdot on was a bit buggy, and it became hard to maintain.
So, after slightly more than a year, I decided to start experimenting with Blosxom, which is Perl, not Python, and not nearly as flexible or big as Zope. But at least it keeps my files on my filesystem. I'll keep the old Zope database around until the last story drops from the front-page, and I'll convert the old booknotes to Blosxom, as soon as I figure out how to preserve the timestamps.
The design of this blog (and I might as well admit it, it is a blog), is based on the Istzu style by Kozo Avo.
