It's interesting to note that the applications people are most enthusiastic about are the do-it-all behemoths that people live in, like Amarok, WordPerfect, Photoshop, Word -- and those, if not free, are the applications that get pirated hard. Try finding an illegal copy of Photoshop Elements on bittorrent. Now try finding an illegal copy of Photoshop CS on bittorrent -- that's much, much easier.
